I am an assistant professor of Information and Decision Sciences (IDS) in the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago. Before joining UIC, I was an assistant professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I obtained my Ph.D. from Tepper School of Business from Carnegie Mellon. 

My research focuses on two streams: 1) understanding the consumption and generation of content by consumers on social media platforms. In this regard, I aim to improve the design of social media platforms by delving into the formation of online relationships and content generation by consumers; 2) examining how various digital technologies, including IoT and algorithmic decision systems, contribute value by influencing decision-making processes at the individual level. On the method side, I combine economic theories with machine learning techniques to address research questions in these two streams
